This is NOT an advertisement, but provides info about a widely used app on these Forums that some folks may not be aware of.
The latest version of Daisy Disk - whether purchased via the Apple Store or directly from their website - is now able to deal with APFS formatted drives.
Moreover, the app now offers a means of deleting Local Snapshots.
If you purchase from the Developer, it's a question of running the app, clicking on 'Hidden', identifying the 'Snapshots' and deleting them. This is done via Terminal; but the great thing is that it opens Terminal for you, inserts the script and you then click on Enter. Wonderful for Terminal-averse clowns like me!
If you purchase via the Apple Store, it does the same except that you have to Copy/Paste the script into Terminal.
I have no connection whatsoever with the Developer/Company. I have simply been a paid-up user for some years.
